Air
Rippling is pleased to host round-trip economy air transportation for you from your preferred airport to Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), on official program dates. All qualifiers are required to book air travel through Luxe Travel, our Club travel agency. Do not book travel on your own – doing so will result in the refusal of reimbursed expenses.

Ticketing Process:

• During registration, you will be prompted to enter your air travel information and preferences.
• Within 4 business days, a Luxe agent will email you a proposed itinerary.
• You have 24 hours to approve or request changes to the proposed itinerary via email.
• Upon approval, your tickets will be issued. Any changes made to your itinerary after ticketing will be at your own expense.

Important Notes:

• Flights will be offered via the most direct and economical route from your departure city to/from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). Any additional costs associated with personal travel deviations, preferred airline, or pre/post extensions will be at your own expense.
• If you have not received an email from Luxe within 4 business days of submitting a completed registration, please check that the email has not been sent to your junk mail folder. If you don’t find it there, please email ripplingclub@launchinc.com.   

 

Area Code / Cell Phones 
The country code for Mexico is +52. When making a call from the United States to Mexico, it would be dialed as 011+52+phone number. Most international cell phones work in the area. It is recommended that you activate your International service plan on your phone to minimize any phone charges, texting and data roaming charges.    
 

Arrival Information

Upon arrival at Los Cabos International Airport (after disembarking) you will pass through Mexican Immigration where you will present your tourist card. The official will retain one portion and return the other portion to you for safekeeping as you will need it for your return to the USA. Your next stop is Baggage Claim to claim your checked bag(s). You’ll then proceed through customs where the officer will take your Customs Declaration Form and possibly do a bag check. You will be asked to press a button that will display a green light or a red light to determine the bag check. Leaving Customs, you will proceed all the way out of the various sets of sliding glass doors and continue walking to the outside area of the terminal. Please be sure to avoid contact with timeshare representatives located only inside the arrival building. They will NOT identify themselves as timeshare employees but will try to engage you in conversation by asking you questions regarding your transportation. You must exit the arrivals terminal completely to find your transportation. There are a series of shaded areas that are numbered. Event staff will be located at shaded area #6. They will have Rippling event signage for easy identification.

There you will be greeted by event staff, assisted with your luggage, and directed to pre-arranged transportation. The transfer to the Paradisus Los Cabos will take approximately 30 minutes. 

Airport transfers from Los Cabos International Airport to the Paradisus Los Cabos will be provided on official program dates only. If you are traveling on dates other than the scheduled program dates, or from a different hotel, you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the hotel. Taxi service from Los Cabos International Airport is readily available at your own expense. 

• Note: Rippling employees can expense their travel to/from their origin airport (Lyft/Uber or Parking) for Club 2022, as well as one (1) checked bag. 

Airport Transportation (March 24 and March 27 only):

• Airport transfers between Los Cabos International Airport and the Paradisus will be provided for flights arriving on Thursday, March 24 and flights departing on Sunday, March 27 only. 

If arriving/departing on dates outside of March 24 and March 27:

• You are responsible for your own transportation to/from the hotel.
• Taxi service from the Los Cabos International Airport is readily available.
• Please indicate your extension plans when registering. If you are interested in extending your stay at the Paradisus Los Cabos our registration team will need to verify room availability and collect your credit information to confirm your extension request prior to finalizing your flights.
   

Attire & Packing Suggestions
In general, the standard attire in Mexico is comfortable and casual. The Hotel asks that a swimsuit cover-up and shoes be worn in the lobby, boutiques and dining outlets. You will find yourself most comfortable in resort casual / active sportswear (polo shirts, shorts, sun dresses, or blouses, sandals, walking shoes, etc.) in most settings. Bathing suits and workout clothes will come in handy if you plan to use the pool, fitness center, spa, or explore the beach. We suggest that you bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or visor to protect yourself from the intense sun. Additional travel details will be sent to you 1-2 weeks prior to your departure. Please note that all group evening functions are outdoors.

Climate / Weather
The end of March is one of the warmest, sunniest times of the year in Mexico. However, evening temperatures are mild and there may be light rain showers on occasion.

Currency
The Peso ($) is the official currency of Mexico. Major credit cards are accepted extensively throughout Mexico. The exchange rate fluctuates daily. For updates on the current exchange rate, please visit www.xe.com.

If you choose to exchange money in Mexico, you may exchange at the airport, through the hotel, or at exchange shops. The best rates are typically available via Bank ATM / Cash Machine transactions.

 

Departure Information
Prior to your departure from Paradisus Los Cabos, you will be provided with a personalized departure notice outlining your transfer schedule. Hotel check-out time is 12:00 p.m. Departure transportation to the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) will be provided on Sunday, March 27, 2022, only. If you are departing on a different date, you are responsible for your own transportation arrangements. 

 

Deviations
Rippling qualifiers must arrive on March 24 and depart on March 27 for Rippling Club. Arriving late or departing early is not permissible. We understand that there may be circumstances such as weddings, family celebrations, etc. that cannot be rescheduled and are in  conflict with the program dates. If this is the case, we ask that you kindly decline your Club invitation. 
 

Electricity
The electric current in Mexico is the same as in the United States - 127 V standard voltage & 60 Hz standard frequency. Please see the images below for clarification of outlet type:

The central help number for all emergencies in Mexico is 911. 

 

Employee Only Event
Rippling Club 2022 is an employee-only event and no guests are permitted, even at your own expense.

 

Extensions
If you wish to alter or extend the travel plans that we are pre-arranging for you, you are at liberty to do so and we will be happy to assist you. You will, however, be responsible for any resulting increase in your airline ticket price, booking additional hotel nights, transfers, etc. Please include detailed extension requests on the registration form. Once a travel agent contacts you, you can fine-tune your travel plans based on availability and cost. 

If you would like to extend at the Paradisus Los Cabos, please indicate your desired check-in and check-out dates during the registration process and we will check availability at the hotel on your behalf. If your extension can be confirmed (pending hotel availability), you will be contacted by our registration team to obtain your credit card information and secure your additional night(s).

The negotiated group rate at the Paradisus Los Cabos is $471 per night, plus applicable fees & taxes - depending on room category & hotel availability.  
 

Gratuities
Rippling will be providing gratuities in conjunction with the scheduled program from your arrival to your departure. This includes:

• Baggage handling at the airport
• Hotel gratuities (bellman/housekeeping)
• Gratuities associated with hosted activities
• Gratuities at all scheduled evening functions

*Not included: Activities booked on your own or outside of the program dates.

 

Health & Safety
As always, Rippling stresses the importance of taking care of your health and well-being while traveling. Below are some actions you can take to ensure that you remain as healthy and safe as possible while at Rippling Club 2022.

• COVID-19: please refer to our COVID-19 FAQ page for more information
• One of the biggest threats to tourists is pickpocketing/theft in crowded areas. Pickpocketing can be prevented by keeping your wallet, passports, and camera in a money belt or securely stored in your hotel safe. Do not flash money or electronics around in crowded areas.
• While water treatment, filtration, and purification have greatly improved in Mexico, it’s still not a good idea to drink ordinary tap water during your visit. Please make sure to only drink bottled, purified water during your trip. 

 

Hotel Registration
Upon arrival at the Paradisus you will check in with the Front Desk. Official hotel check-in time is 3:00 PM. If you arrive, prior to check-in time, pre-tipped bellmen will take luggage to a storage area until check-in is available. The hotel will make every effort to have your room ready upon your arrival. Upon check-in, credit card information will be taken for personal expenses. The hotel accepts all major credit cards.

 

Medications & Prescription Drugs
Medications should be in labeled containers. When traveling with medications, it is recommended that you carry a copy of the prescription. Also, you should keep all medications in your carry-on luggage.

 

Packing Tips
It is recommended that you do not check luggage that contains travel documents, medication, jewelry, electronic equipment, or any other valuables. These items should always be kept with you. We do not recommend bringing valuables on your trip to Mexico, but if you choose to do so, it is recommended that you store your valuables in the safe provided in your sleeping room.

Passports & Visa
In order to travel to Mexico & return to the United States after your trip, you will be required to present a valid passport with an expiration date of at least 6 months after your departure date from Mexico. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary entry visas pertaining to your respective passport/home country. Please visit www.cibt.com for more information and for help attaining a visa if required. If you have questions, please contact your local human resources department. Please be sure to not only review visa requirements for Mexico but also any countries you stop in as part of your air travel.

 

Personal Expenses
All attendees are responsible for any incidental purchases, including but not limited to, laundry charges, telephone calls, and gift shop purchases. Gratuities for your personal services such as laundry, valet, telephone calls, etc., should be taken care of by you at the time services are rendered. Please settle your incidental account with the hotel upon your final check-out.

• Round-trip economy air transportation between your home city and Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) on program dates.
• Round-trip ground transfers between the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and the Paradisus Los Cabos on group travel dates only (March 24 & March 27).
• Accommodations at the Paradisus Los Cabos for four days and three nights (March 24-27).
• All-Inclusive Daily Meals (March 24-27).

Travel staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide any assistance necessary to make your stay as enjoyable and fun as possible. Tax
Sales tax in Mexico is known as VAT and is currently at 16%.

San Jose del Cabo operates on Mexican Pacific Standard Time. When it is 12:00 p.m. on March 25, 2022 in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, it is:

Final travel details will be sent to you approximately two weeks prior to your Rippling Club 2022. 

 

Travel Restrictions
Security measures restrict the amount of liquids and gels passengers can "carry-on" to the plane. To comply with these rules, each of your toiletries must be 3.4 oz. (100 ml) or smaller and you must place all the toiletries in a single quart-size zip-top bag (approximately 1 liter). Airlines strictly observe policies regarding items that cannot be included in carry-on bags, including any sharp or flammable objects, such as knives, razors, scissors, pocket knives, letter openers, etc. If any item is questionable, it is best to leave it at home or pack it in your checked luggage.

 

Travel Tips
To minimize the effects of traveling, we recommend the following:

• Wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
• Keep yourself hydrated.
• Avoid alcohol and caffeine consumption prior to / during your flight.
• Eat small meals during the flight.
• Stand up and stretch your arms and legs every few hours to encourage proper circulation
